Tavoor Hills Traverse is one of the lesser known Picturesque treks in Bhagamandala range, Coorg of Karnataka which makes this place one of the perfect weekend trekking destinations from Bangalore. From the summit here offers the best of the scenic views of Coorg. The trail in the Tavoor Hills is also known as Dumachi Gudde by the locals. The trail offers everything that a trekking enthusiasts expectation. On one side during the traverse, it has deep dense forests and streams and on the other there’s a beautiful ridge walk towards the peak. Standing tall on the Tavoor Hill Peak, one can also see the beautiful Kopatty Hill Range. As the legends say, Lord Vishnu, Brahman and Shiva surveyed Talacauvery Hill and Tavooru Hill to decide the origin of the river Cauvery which would then nurture and nourish the surrounding forests and the lives of so many living beings. Bagamandala being the holy Place, trimurthis decided and thus originated here.
A 10 km trek along the dense forests, with inclined ascends and ridge walk.

One of the major attractions of Coorg is also Padi Igguthappa Temple which houses the oldest temples of Kodavas which was built by King Linga Rajendra in 1810. while in Coorg, one can also visit the city of Madikeri to experience the traditional Coorg lifestyle.
Another attraction here is the Bhagandeswara Temple. It is believed that Bhagamandala derives its name from the Bhagandeswara Kshetra. The temple has idols of Bhagandeswara, Ganesha, Subramanya and Mahavishnu.
All seasons have their own charm. The change in the colours of meadows, forests and the rains always makes it refreshing to the eyes of a trekker.
Tavoor has dense forests. It is advised to be well prepared to savor the wilderness of the forests and then trek. Adequate water shall be brought along by all the trekkers.
There can be one or two small water stream before the last ridge walk towards the Dumchi Gudde Peak, depending upon the monsoons.
