Even though the rains and landslides had postponed the trek dates of Tri Col - Pathangani Dhar - Audens col and Mayali pass ( Gangotri to Kedarnath ) the spirits weren't down ,the start of the trek was bright as a sunshine

I have always fancied trekking on mountains and snow and that too himalayas was a great fascination. So i decided somehow i need to make it happen. Vishwanath, our trek Lead , is a very knowledgeable person. Trekking with him you can definitely be sure about your safety as he takes up some unimaginable responsibility for your life.. however he can get into your nerves sometimes.

Now about the trek.. to say the least, the trek was very very adventurous..12 Days in the himalayas.. of which 4 days was on top of the snow.. It was terrific!

The glamour, beauty of the mountains and the nature was reduced a little by the altitude sickness (shows up as headaches and fatigues), constant walk for hours, camping in some 45 degree slopes, some near-death crevices waterfall crossings, eating boring roti-dal at 7AM, being in hunger for long periods of time and to say the least - very very cold... guess its all part of the deal...

May look complaining, but all these added to the overall adventure. I had seen some of the jaw-dropping vistas that i had only seen in movies..
Looking at the snout (the origin of river), glacier, avalanches, snow walks, long stretches of snow covered on all sides with mountains, camp-fires all these the fruit of the journey.

I remember a part where i could not believe i was alive after crossing a water fall... the worst part was the waterfall started increasing when i crossed... that too in that cold weather..

I would definitely do a Himalayan trek again!

This was my second trek trip with Summiters .The last time i did was in 2011 November a trek to Amedhikallu. This time it was for Narsimha Parvatha .Though it was summer season it was cool walking under the canopy. The landscape was mind blowing. But a view you wud not wanna miss.Lunch served in the midst of forest atop Barkana waterfall was again delicious (thanks to vishwanath for that) can still remember the taste of the Puliyogre.A refreshing Bath at Sirimane falls was worthwhile.!
Fantastic arrangements made by summiters.Hope to do more treks with them in the future.

Narsimha parvatha trek was awesome trekking experience. It was through dense forests of agumbe and enroute view from Barkana falls top was the best part of it. Vishwanath was the lead, his knowledge and experience of treks is immense. I was impressed with the way he handled the group, intelligently, without raising his voice or appearing strict. Looking forward for a Himalayan trek with him.

My first trek with Summiters was to Narsimha Parvata. The trek was well organized. It was a learning experience to trek with Vishwanath, who has travelled extensively and is quite familiar with trails in the western ghats.Looking forward to be part of more treks with the Summiters.

My experience with summiters is remarkable. If I have to go for a trek, that would be with Summiters. I just love the way how they keep all the things well organized. The way they manage the group is brilliant. Summiters not only plan for trek they are also into Scuba Driving. I even got certified from PADI. This was one of the best experiences I ever had.

The recent team in outing on Feb 13 was fun. Mr. Vishwanath and his team were at their best to host an grand event which saw all my HR team members having a ball of a time. The whole objective of taking the team out as a recognition for thier hard work, really paid up as the arrangements and places we went were world class. The trek to kudremukh was breathtaking, of course it was tiring.Again good job Vish and his team!

My name is Avani and I am 8 years old. My father likes going on treks regularly and seeing him go i also got interested. Daddy was initially concerned to take me along as i was quite small. Together i started hiking with him since I was 7 years old. I went with Vishwa uncle on this trek to Bandalli Durga. I made few new friends on this trek and we stayed together on top of the hill that night. As there was no water, we all gave the water we had with us for drinking to cook food in the night. It was raining and the place was very cold and the sleeping bag dad had brought along helped me get some sleep. Next morning we all came very fast as we were thirsty. We drank lots of water as soon as we got it, we then had our lunch and came back to Bangalore. Bandalli Durga trek though tiring I enjoyed it and it was fun to go.

Thanks for organizing this beautiful trek to Narsimha Parvatha for us. We enjoyed every bit of it. Especially appreciate you Vishwa for staying with Sajid when he got a bit slow towards the end. In general, I have always felt that it is better if you stay in the end to ensure that all members are doing good. Glad to see you actually doing it in this case.
